An Exciting Day for Sweet Pea Stampers - The Start of Fortnightly Challenges

Today is an exciting day over at the Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge Blog.  It might be time to get a cup of coffee/tea and a biscuit as this is going to be a long post!!

We recently held a Design Team Call and decided to move from a monthly challenge to a fortnightly challenge and to split the teams into two.

Before I tell you about the challenge this fortnight I need to give the details of the last monthly challenge we had "for the children".  Due to the new Design Team being set up we have decided to use True Random Number Generator to pick both cards (normally we use True Random Number Generator to pick the first card but then the Design Team pick their favourite creation using a Sweet Pea Stamps image).  True Random Number Generator has picked the following winners:

The winner of one digital image from Lynette at Sweet Pea Stamps is No 20 who is Julie J.  Congratulations Julie.
The other winner of one digital stamp from Lynette at Sweet Pea Stamps is No 19 who is Debs.  Congratulations Debs.

Julie and Debs - Sue will make contact with you about how you will get your voucher for your free digital image for winning this challenge.

Thank you also goes to Lynette at Sweet Pea Stamps for her continued support in providing free images for the winners of the challenges even with us moving to a fortnightly challenge.
****************************************************************
What is the challenge you ask?  The challenge for this fortnight is "for the men/boys".

The rules for the Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge are still the same:
  • Please use a stamped/digital image on your card/project
  • Please DO NOT link back to old projects- only new cards/projects are considered for the prize.
  • Although we would love you to only use Sweet Pea images it is not compulsory.
  • If you use a Sweet Pea Stamps image you will be entered into a second draw to win a free digital image.  The Design Team for that fortnight will pick their favourite card/project using a Sweet Pea Stamps image.
  • Please do not enter the challenge more than 3 times.
My name is Kym and I am Team Leader for A and it is our turn this fortnight to show you are creations using the theme "for the men/boys".  We also have some members of Team B adding some cards/creations as well so that will give you some more inspiration:

Sue - Team B Team Leader
Hello, Sue here , also known as Soojay .
My Craft blog is called Paper ,Ink and Glue .
I have been "making things" since I was a child. Before scrap booking and card making, which I started about 10 years ago, I was a cross stitcher and loved embroidery.
I was practically given a large amount of copic pens at a retreat a couple of years ago and my collection has grown impressively. I love nothing more than colouring in in the evening after a long day at high school where I help manage the pupil's behaviour . I have three children 28,19 and 18 all with learning difficulties- ours is a noisy busy household.
I am on three other design teams at the moment but Sweet Pea Stampers has a special place in my heart and I adore the stamps - now they have gone digital even more so.

Ali
I'm Ali - it's short for Alison but you'll find me popping up here and there on the internet always under the name Alipeeps. :)
I live in Yorkshire, in the North of England, with my husband and my two little girls, aged 2 and 4. I've always been quite creative and used to do a lot of drawing but after leaving school I kind of got out of the habit. I got into papercrafting in 2004, initially through scrapbooking, and rediscovered my creative mojo in a big way! From scrapbooking I got into cardmaking and from there have also expanded into art journalling, ATCs, circle journals, mixed media projects, you name it! I got into rubber stamping in particular about 3 years ago and then also found digi stamps. I love playing with different styles and techniques, but stamping is always at the heart of my creations. :)
I've been blogging for around 5 years now and love sharing my work and visiting other people's blogs and I love the challenge and inspiration that comes from working on a Design Team. I am lucky enough to be a member of a couple of Design Teams but Sweet Pea Stampers has a special place in  my heart as not only are Sweet Pea Stamps just about my favourite stamp company but Sweet Pea Stampers was the very first Design Team I joined. :)

Hi, my name is Lorraine but i'm really know by everyone as Lozzy and my blog is called Nins Handmade Cards. My blog name has come from our beloved American Bull x that we rescued from a local Animal Re-homing Center 4 years ago and she is our baby now as the 3 girls have grown and they have given us now 4 lovely grandsons.
I got into card making properly about 2 1/2 years ago due to my mother in law getting me started as she has been making cards and crafty things for most of her life. My main love of card making is using rubber stamps and for the last 6 months i have got into digi stamping. Its the pleasure of starting with a plain image and them seeing how you have transformed it into your own special piece of art work. Love the journey all the way from when you start and right to the end.
I use my beloved pro markers to colour images and i am always trying to learn and improve my colouring and do try my hand at making different styles of cards....

Kym - Team A Team Leader
My name is Kym and my blog is Kym’s Crafty Cards.  I started cardmaking about six years ago and although I can’t work many hours due to my health I decided that the cards that I make I would sell solely to raise funds for different charities.  Just before my 5th anniversary of making cards I was delighted that I had reached raising £1,600 for different charities.  The cards that I make are very varied and obviously depend on the customer requirement.
About 2 years ago I got into stamping – rubber and digital - and all I will say is that I am ADDICTED and the rest is history!!!  My favourite rubber stamp/digital stamp company is Sweet Pea Stamps.  I love the ability to stamp and colour in with different mediums (Copics, Promarkers, Spectrum Noirs, watercolours, cosmic shimmers, distress inks etc) and also love the ability of stamping on different papers/card stock to get different effects.
I am truly blessed to be on the Design Teams for:  Sweet Pea Stamps, Sweet Pea Stampers, Bearly Mine Designs, Aud Sentiments and Delicious Doodles.

NanaConnie

Hello, I'm NanaConnie and my blog is Grammy's Attic. My own children are grown and I’m a proud Nana to 6 and a Great-Nana to 2. They all live so far away that some travel time is required for annual visits. I’m a child of God and a Christian, and my faith is the only thing which comes ahead of my family. I’m widowed and I rattle around in an old Victorian home which my three feline fur-babies have agreed to share with me (as long as I feed them, cuddle them on demand, and lavish attention on them as all "cat-owned" humans must!) I've been a crafter since childhood, but only started card making about 3 years ago and now, it's a full blown addiction! I'm afraid that card making has replaced all other creative pursuits which I've enjoyed over my lifetime. I'm constantly improving my use of Promarkers and Copics and have plenty of opportunities to do that while I serve on four other DTs and now, happily, Sweet Pea Stampers!

I am Soma,,,,. Life begins with a sense of creativity,,,, My journey in the world of Art & Craft too started at a tender age. But perseverance and openness has brought me close to the people of similar genre...
I sometimes, realize that the ASL of crafter does not matter any more,, and we have now started sharing our lives beyond the boundary of Art & Craft.
I live in New Delhi, India with my hubby and two blooming flowers named Adideb(Son) and Sonakshi (Daughter). I believe, some of my creation displays the mood we enjoy at different points of time...
I am really enjoying this new face of life, where we truly express ourselves in the rolling creations and manage to share the same in different forums, often you get laurels too.....
I am proud to be a part of the Sweet Pea DT and you are also welcome to visit me anytime at my blog
Love to all .....!!!!

Hi, I am Mari Harpham and I live in Moore, Oklahoma. We were just hit by a major tornado. It has been a rough month, but we are starting to recover. You can read the events of that day from my perspective here.
I have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. My husband is a retired Army and Air Force Exchange (AAFES) manager. We have lived all over the world and have enjoyed a close up view of many different cultures.
I have been paper crafting for about 12 years. I love playing with paper and glue.
I became enchanted with Sweet Pea Stamps and the Ching-Chou Kuik images, when I first started coloring with Copics. I am thrilled to have a good excuse to play with them.

Cebelica
Heya! I'm a butterfly girl. I love these gorgeous animals and I also use them a lot on my creations. This is why I chose this picture. The girl in the picture is not me, but somehow I feel that this picture describes me very well. I'm a just a simple and  very chatty person from a small European country. love traveling and meeting new people. In my free time you can usually find me behind my computer or behind my desk crafting. I enjoy scrapbooking, making cards, altered items and mini albums.

Hallo,
I am so glad to be joining the team - I love Sweet Pea stamps and love to color. I have been rubber stamping since 1991 and the addiction continues to grow. My blog is Stamp Queen (my DH chose this for me,...) I also like to paint (watercolors and my newest addiction - encaustic wax) locker hook, beading, clay, photography and love to play with collage/mixed media and such.
I am Mom to 2 - one starting college this fall (DD) and one who will be a senior this year (DS), married for the last 21 years to my grumpy old bear :). I work full time as an RN in an Open Heart surgery Intensive Care Unit (28 years as an RN - ICU and ER)
In addition to my crafting addictions I have 2 fat old cats and one energetic puppy keeping me busy as well as teaching classes occasionally at our local Adult Learning Center (all volunteer) and will be joining the local Arts and Design society sometime this fall......

I'm Hazel, known in the crafting world as Craftyhazelnut.
I live in Bromley, part of Greater London in the UK. I'm 65 and am married to John, who fully supports me in my obsession for accumulating (and using) crafting goodies. I've always been interesting in crafting in one form or another; when I was younger I did a lot of knitting, embroidery, crocheting etc but over the past thirteen years or so have been more involved in papercrafting, particularly cardmaking, although I dabble in scrapbooking from time to time.
My Crafty Outlook blog is here and I run two Christmas challenge blogs here and here.
I am delighted to be joining the team at Sweet Pea Stampers.

My name is Valérie ALLARD, more known under the pen name valou250809. I lived in Belgium just next to the big city of Chaleroi and in 40 kilometers from Brussels.

Margaret
Hi my name is Margaret Ashby and my blog is http://granmargaret.blogspot.com.au/ and I am also a Christian.  I live in Sydney, Australia with my husband Tony, we will have been married for 44 years in November.  I have 2 daughters and 4 grand daughters.  18, 17, 14 and 4.  I started stamping and making cards in 1995 and scrapbooking about 14 years ago.  My grand daughters have all stamped and scrapbooked with me.  I have worked since I was 15  up until this year when my position was made redundant.  At 68 I am now retired and glad I don't have to push myself to work each day as I have severe arthritis and fybromyalgia.  I am a cancer survivor.  I am enjoying my days at home making cards and joining in challenges.  Now that Tony and I are alone here I finally have my own craft room.  My husband at 66 is still working, he doesn't want to retire yet, he enjoys the company of the men at work.    On the weekends he is making me some more shelves  so I can get my craft stuff organised.   I am still a cute stamper and I now use a lot of digital stamps as they are easier for my hands.  All my cards are sent out to brighten someone's day on their birthday, or thank you or just thinking of you, etc.   I love sweet pea stamps and am so happy to be invited to join this design team.
This photo was taken May 2013 at a wedding with my grand daughters, Emily, Sian and Sarah with Brianna in front.  Brianna was one of the flower girls and is blowing bubbles which the guests were given to use instead of confetti. The three older ones are wearing high heels.  As you can see Sian is the tallest and very tall for her age.  Her mother, my eldest daughter is nearly 6ft tall and her father was 6 ft 7 in before he went to heaven.

Michelle

My name is Michelle, or as my nephew, Nathan, calls me Aunt 'Shell.
I am so very happy to be a part of The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog! I am a Math/Science/Business teacher by trade, but a paper crafter at heart. I live in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada with my father and three cats, Momo, Coco and TicTac (yes, I love double syllable names :)). I always tell my students that I don't have kids, I have cats, who are an excellent substitute!
I have been a paper crafter for about 10 years, which all started with an idea for a scrapbook for my parents’ 25th wedding anniversary. Over the last several years I have experimented with many different types of media and found that I love making cards the most. Nothing is more satisfying then seeing the look on a friend’s face when you give them a personalized handmade card. I am so looking forward to starting this new chapter in the crafty life!
